Philosophy of Teaching
As a Teacher, I believe I am responsible for being there for my students and guiding them to their path in life. It is essential to provide a safe environment for them to learn and grow into successful individuals. They are the future when we are gone. A great quote plays in my head regarding the future—it starts with a question: If chess was reflected in real life, then who would be the king? The answer is our children. Children are the future in this world. As educators, we protect and prepare our students for life. We influence their lives, so students must get everything they need for their future.
"If you can teach a student one thing, the day will be a success." I live by this; if I can teach someone just one thing, then the day is a success. The reason is that I've made an impact on my students. I strive to be the teacher that inspires them just as my teachers inspired me.
One thing that I believe that is important in the classroom is classroom management. Well-established classroom rules and procedures can keep the class organized. Setting the room up warmly and invitingly keeps students wanting to come to class to learn. I want to ensure my classroom is a safe environment for my students to learn and create art.
